On March 26, 1920 Victor H. Brown corroborated Caulder McCoy’s statement to Special Agents Green and Smith, telling the investigators that he helped deliver liquor to the Vendome Hotel in September 1919.

When Clarence Bullock disclosed to Mr. Steinhilber, the hotel manager, that he had liquor stored on a farm ten miles outside Henderson.  Steinhilber asked Bullock to sell some of the liquor to him, and he agreed to do so as a personal favor to Mr. Steinhilber. Bullock, with the assistance of Caulder C. McCoy and Victor H. Brown, took two automobiles to the farm and loaded them with cases of whiskey for delivery at the Vendome Hotel. Thirteen cases were unloaded in the alley at the rear of the hotel and Steinhilber paid Bullock in cash.
